Privacy

No tracking cookies, no tracking scripts, and visit counts that don't identify you.

What this policy covers

This policy covers calordsoftware.com, the website of C.A. Lord Software Group, LLC ("the company"), and email you send the company. Lincoln Town Square and any other site built on TownSquare™ have their own privacy policies, and this one doesn't cover them.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising, tracking or social media scripts. The only script the company has turned on is Cloudflare's visit counter, described below. The site's host, Cloudflare, may also add a security check to make sure a visitor isn't a bot, and that check can set a cookie. The site has no accounts and no forms.

Visit counts

The company uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. Cloudflare adds a small script to each page that reports which page was viewed, the site that linked to it, and how fast the page loaded. The script doesn't use cookies or local storage. Cloudflare says it doesn't fingerprint visitors or follow them from site to site. The company sees only totals: page views, which pages were viewed, referring sites, page load times, and breakdowns by country, browser, operating system and device type. These totals don't identify individual visitors.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

This site works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. There's no tracking or selling of information to switch off, and Cloudflare counts the visit either way, as described above.

Hosting

Cloudflare hosts this site. Like any web host, it processes technical data about each request, including your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. If a page fails to load, your browser may send Cloudflare a short error report. Cloudflare says it doesn't keep IP addresses from those reports. The company doesn't keep its own logs of visits. If Cloudflare blocks or challenges a request, its security tools may show the company that request's IP address and browser. Cloudflare's own privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Security

Every page on this site is served over HTTPS, so pages travel encrypted between Cloudflare and your browser. If you visit an http:// address, you're sent to the secure version first.

Email

If you email the company, it uses your address and message only to reply and to keep a record of the conversation. The company's email runs on Google Workspace, so Google stores those messages on its behalf. The company keeps emails for up to seven years, then deletes them. It keeps one longer only if the law requires it, for example during a legal dispute. The company doesn't add you to a mailing list, and it doesn't sell or share your address or message with anyone else, including Lincoln Town Square, unless the law requires it.

Children

This site isn't meant for children under 13, and the company doesn't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has emailed the company, let it know and it will delete the email.

Links to other sites

This site links to other sites, such as lincolntownsquare.com. Their own privacy policies apply once you're there. When you follow a link, the other site can see that you came from calordsoftware.com, but not which page you were on.

Changes to this policy

When the company changes this policy, it will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change would affect how the company uses emails you've already sent it, it will ask you first.

Questions and requests

Questions about this policy or about information the company holds about you? Email hello@calordsoftware.com. If you'd like the company to delete your emails, ask from the address you wrote from and it will, unless the law requires it to keep them.
